Story

The time is set in the second half of the 21st century.  A young girl, Miku, boards the Space Elevator for the first time to deliver a special handmade lunch to her father, who is working on a Space Station 4,000 km above the Earth.  After her mother gets an unexpected appointment, Miku has to travel alone into Space.  Can Miku reach her father safely?

Objective

The objective of this film is to envision the future and what typical life could be like using advanced technologies.  It is also to inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers, and inventors to imagine all the possibilities.  From a young girl’s perspective, we see her high-tech house, her trip through the futuristic city to the Space Elevator, and her adventure traveling on the Space Elevator to surprise her father while he is working on the Space Station. This animated video gives us a look into our future as foreseen by scientists.
